Bakery trays come in varying sizes and styles. In general, a customer’s loaf bread or bun pan size, pack-out and trailer cube out determine the amount of product that can be reasonably and safely distributed in any given plastic bakery tray. 

Single level bakery trays have one product clearance height and an empty nested height. Multi-level bakery trays have more than one product clearance height and an empty nested height.

Multi-level bakery trays allow better cube out for distribution and less empty tray inventory compared to single level trays.

Yes. SPF can use a pre-approved percentage of plastic recycled HDPE or similar material in our plastic products; however, since product performance and safety are critical components of our collective success, different product designs call for specific amounts of recycled material. SPF considers the part geometry, working environment and recycled material strength before recommending the final percentage of recycle material. Either way, all SPF plastic parts are reusable, returnable, and recyclable to support the circular economy.
